Barry—our passionate owner and founder, started this business based on a love of precious metals and gemstones and has grown it into a trusted destination for expertly crafted jewellery and unmatched personal service.

Our History
Barry’s journey began 40 years ago with the opening of his very first store in Oakville, where he quickly became known for quality, craftsmanship, and personal service. As the client base grew, the business expanded to Mapleview Shopping Centre, where we serviced clients for nearly 30 years. In 2022, Barry’s proudly expanded onto the global stage with the opening of a boutique location in Vienna, Austria, bringing our signature experience to an international audience. The following year, in 2023, we unveiled our stunning new flagship store at 701 Guelph Line in Burlington—a space that embodies the heart of our brand, where luxury, expertise, and meaningful connection come together. With over 6000 square feet of jewellery, preowned luxury handbags, art, and antiques and a full array of services to to assist in all of our clients needs.
Our Commitment to Community
Since day one, Barry has believed in giving
back. Over the past 40 years, Barry’s has supported numerous non-profit organizations by donating over $400,000 in jewellery to help raise funds and
awareness.
Our focus has always been primarily on charities that promote health. Jewellery marks life’s milestones, often becoming heirlooms passed down through generations. What better way to honour these moments than by supporting the health and well-being of the people in our communities? By contributing to health related causes, we help ensure that our clients and their families can continue creating and sharing memories in good health.
Our Ethical Sourcing Practices
Barry’s is deeply committed to responsible
sourcing and sustainable practices. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy toward conflict diamonds and proudly support the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, which tracks diamonds from mine to market to ensure they are ethically sourced and free from illegal trade.
We are especially proud to support and sell Canadian-mined diamonds-true treasures of our Great White North. Canada ranks among the top global producers of diamonds, and our Canadian stones are fully traceable from mine to showroom. All our loose diamonds are independently certified and graded by reputable gemological laboratories, so you can trust you’re getting quality, integrity, and peace of mind with every purchase.
Whether it’s a diamond, gemstone, or precious metal, we ensure that every piece we offer is sourced responsibly and with care for the planet.
We are also big advocates of recycling (in all ways). Whether it’s the packaging we use, supplies that we purchase, or down to the gold that you bring in to make something knew, Barry’s is committed to reducing, reusing and recycling whenever and wherever possible.
